Alkimos football club continue to make huge steps forward both on and off the pitch. This announcement today sends out the right message to all the football community and our players that we mean business, as part of the 5 year plan we are thrilled to be able to attract high level quality coaches to continue our pathway. Alkimos FC’s Director of Football Russ Meredith said “As soon as I met John and Craig it was easy to see the passion and direction they wish to achieve for our new club, I’m excited to see our players benefit from their experience and passion for the game”. John and Craig have already begun to prepare for the upcoming season with the clubs Football Department.

John Evans: Amateur 1st Team Coach

Coming from a State league background in Divisions 1 and 2 John has built sides from the ground up, holds a “C” Licence in Western Australia. Achievements are winning Sunday League Amateur Cup, Runner Up in State League Cup and going a season undefeated at State League Level. Finishing in top 4 in both State league levels.

John said “I’m delighted to be coaching at Alkimos Football Club in 2022. A fresh new challenge where the club can go forward and continue the success from last season. Being part of this club is the challenge I hope for”.

Craig Stephenson: Amateur 1st Team Assistant Coach

Craig holds a C-Licence coaching badge along with an FA – A and B coaching licence and has coached for 16 years in WA Football Divisions, the last 6 years within NPL.

Craig said “I’m looking forward to working alongside John and looking forward to see what we can bring and achieve at Alkimos Football Club” .

Alkimos FC is holding trials for their Men’s Amateur and Metro squads on 14th November at 10:30am.

All positions are up for grabs as we prepare to go again for another year!

Adam McElroy the Alkimos FC Club Captain for 2021 has a passion for fitness and nutrition, and has already worked with many of our current players, assisting them through injury, improving their match day preparation and more.

This evidence-based program is designed for anyone looking to develop their physique ahead of the new season.

Congratulations to the Masters who took out the club’s inaugural Alkimos FC Cup!

After going behind in the first half, the Masters stormed home in the second half to record a resounding 8-2 victory.

A great day and a fantastic way to sign off – congratulations to Michael Cuthbert and his team on a fantastic, trophy-winning season!

Our kids training to return at 8:30am on October 24th at St James Anglican School.

Out of everything going on at Alkimos FC at the moment as we prepare for next season, launching our first kids team is the most exciting!

Ever since we starting kicking a football in 2020, our mini mossies have been out there every Sunday to practice their skills and support the club.

In season 2022 we can’t wait to repay our young players, with an opportunity to represent the club and compete wearing in famous Alkimos FC shirt.

Our women’s team looks forward to kicking off in season 2022 after a year of training and recruitment.

Showing it isn’t only the men who have a passion for football, Alkimos FC is excited to see the women’s team to commence their inaugural season next year.

A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes to get the team this far, with over 20 ladies registering their interest this year to play for the club in 2022.

Before the season begins, there is much more work to do – kits, player registrations, coach and captain appointments – and special thanks to Russ Meredith and Michael Cuthbert who have worked tirelessly to ensure our women are represented in Football West’s 2022 season!
